Can product recommendations be based not just on the subcategory the product is in, but to backtrack through the subcategories when there are no other products to recommend with that subcategory, as opposed to filling it with random items.

For example, if an item is in; Health & Beauty > Shaving & Hair Removal > Electric Shaving & Hair Removal > Clippers & Trimmers, once there are no more products in the last category (Clippers & Trimmers), can it go to the one before (Electric Shaving & Hair Removal) then the one before (Shaving & Hair Removal) etc.. I think that would be a lot more relevant to customers than to just suggest random items in a completely different category.
